Upcoming Events:

Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive (Annual Postal Food Drive) held nationally in conjunction with the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) and the US Postal Service is scheduled for Saturday May 12, 2018.  You may place food donations at your mailbox and your local Postal Carrier will deliver it to the Denton Community Food Center.  Volunteers will be needed at the Food Center to help receive the donations, unload the Postal Trucks and help sort the food items between 3 pm and 6 pm on Saturday 5/12/18.  Come out and join the fun.  More details to come on our Facebook site

Mayor's Day of Concern for the Hungry
will be held May 7-11, 2018 at various business locations around Denton.  Please check out the website for additional details.  Food Donations will be accepted at the Community Market (Carroll Blvd & Mulberry) on Saturday May 5th & 12th.

Mobile Food Pantry  will be held on the 2nd Saturday of each Month. This will be a FREE distribution of Food & Produce to struggling families in our community. Event is 9 am to 11 am (or until all food is gone) in the parking lot of the First Baptist Church (First Denton) at 1100 Malone St (enter parking near the corners of Crescent & Bryan Sts). Please bring grocery bags, sacks or boxes to carry your selected produce and other food items home.  MORE INFO available at the Food Center during our operating hours of 1-3 pm Monday - Friday. This event is sponsored by the Denton Hunger Coalition in conjunction with the Tarrant Area Food Bank with the assistance of multiple Hunger Agencies in the Denton area.....including the Denton Community Food Center.  More info here.

Conducting a Food Drive ??:
Help the Food Center collect food to feed hungry families in our community all-year-around.  Please bring all food drive donations to the Food Center (donations accepted 1-3 pm M-F) at the Back Door/Dock area.

About Us
The Denton Community Food Center (DCFC) has been an ALL Volunteer Staffed & Run, Donor Funded and Supported, Community Based Charity for 43 years.  The Food Pantry serves 21 cities, towns & communities in 31 different zip codes of Northern Denton County.  In 2017 we distributed 261 tons of food to the local community (19,000+ sacks of groceries).  This helped provide food to 5838 adults and 2702 children.  We appreciate your support and compassion for struggling families and individuals in our community.
